This facility is focussed on single particle cryo-electron microscope (cryoEM) to study the structure of biological molecules. It is one of the nodes of the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Cryo-electron Microscopy of Membrane Proteins. Our facility has the all the tools required for cryoEM speciment preparation and subsequent cryoEM and negative stain imaging. We are equipped with two state of the art transmission electron microscopes a Thermo L120C for negative stain imaging as well as cryo grid screening using a Gatan 626 cryo sample holder. Also we are equipped with a Thermo Glacios autoloading 200 kV cryo-TEM fitted with a Falcon 4 direct electron detector. We also offer consultation services, training and data analysis services.
